Shea Network Ghana (SNG) in partnership with Oxfam in Ghana under the Women’s Economic Advancement for Collective Transformation (WEACT) Project, conducted Gender Model Family (GMF) summits for Quarter 2 across all our project districts. The summits were District level activities, and participants included our Gender Model Family (GMF) families, GMF mentors, GMF ambassadors, head teachers of basic schools in the communities, as well as community and district level stakeholders.
The summit was to identify possible areas of collaboration between GMFs and stakeholders, to solicit more support from different groups of stakeholders to promote and increase the use of the GMF and its implementation. The event was participated by Officers from Ghana Police Service (GPS), Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), Judicial Service, Social Welfare, National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE), Ghana Health Service (GHS), Gender Desk, and Women in Agricultural Development (WIAD).
