Team Of Monitors From OXFAM Ghana Visit SNG

On Thursday August 31, 2023, we received in our office, a team of officers from OXFAM Ghana. Their purpose of visit was to seek more information on a project we recently piloted together with them in some of our communities . The project dubbed “Systems Innovation for Women Economic Empowerment (SIWEE) was a six (6) months intervention.

It was implemented in Salankpang in the Mion district and Jangyili in the North-East Gonja District of the Savanna and Northern Regions. Fifty (50) women from each community benefited from the project in various ways.

SIWEE had a broader objective to benefit two-hundred and seventy (270) women in the Cocoa and Shea Value-Chains. Specifically, it was implemented in Adiembra, Abamkrom, Salankpang, Mbanayili, Nwoa, Dalun Kukuo, Jangyili, Tesina Tanga and Yaraga by many partners such as Mondelez, Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana, Shea Network Ghana (SNG) and Tungteiya Shea Women Association.
